EVERYONE FACES TEMPTATION

Everyone faces temptation but the great news is that God always provides a way out. In fact Paul tells us in
1 Corinthians 10:13
So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don’t fall! 1No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.

What is temptation?
Temptation is anything that promises satisfaction at the cost of obedience to God.

DROP THE FEAR

Drop The Fear.

Fear can be a sticky thing. Give it a place to grab hold and it can suck you down into a muddy pit. You might even feel that you’re going under, with little hope of rising back up.

But God the Father has His strong and caring hand extended out to you. He’s waiting for you to grab hold of His hand! Grab his Hand and drop the fear!

Sometimes fear can be overwhelming. Sometimes you may feel as though you can’t help but feel fear. But, God is able and willing to help you! And once you’re “up from the mud” His firm grasp is always there to keep you from sinking again even when the ground underneath you is unsteady.

Let go of fear and hold on to God’s loving hand. Drop it.

Things to Ponder:

Have you ever felt stuck due to fear? How did you change how you felt?
Are you currently feeling stuck because of fear?
Is there something that is stopping you from taking God’s helping hand? If so, go ahead and ask God to give you the strength to hold His hand and trust Him and let go of the fear.

Take it to the King after you answer and watch the Comforter take over.

Blessings

THE EXCHANGE

“The Exchange”

When Joshua took over for Moses, he had some big sandals to fill. Not only was he the new leader of the Hebrew nation, but he was also being tasked with a nearly impossible mission— to take possession of a land full of strong, gigantic enemies.

To say he had some fears is an understatement.

But God answered those fears by extending an incredible promise: “This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go”            (Joshua 1:9 NLT).
In exchange for crippling fear, Joshua was going to gain something far stronger—Almighty God was promising to go with him: to have his back, everywhere he went!

Mission accepted and (spoiler alert!) accomplished.

There are plenty of things in this world that can trigger fear: serious illness, financial insecurity, crime in the neighborhood, bullies, persecution, and more.

The list is long.

How do we deal with all of these fearful circumstances?

  • The same way Joshua did. By laying down fear and picking up the hope that comes from God’s promises.

In the Bible, there are over 70 verses that basically say “don’t be afraid” (depending on the version you use.)

But God never meant for you to simply turn off fear; you have to exchange it for something else. We can trade in our fear for faith in God’s promises!

What God offers to us in His promises are His Words, in which we can literally trust Him, instead of feeling paralyzed by fear.

Discover what God wants to give you in exchange for your fear. These things can help you move forward through difficulties, overcome despair, and journey in His plan with confidence.

God sure is good.
Blessings

LOVE IS A STORM

“Love is A Storm!”

In life we will all experience storms, but Praise be to God that He is right there with us.

When storms appear in your life, don’t get sidetracked by the noisy crackling thunder and the whistling winds. Instead, aim to intentionally focus on Jesus Christ.

Jesus is with you in the storms of life, and in His power and authority He is able to command peace in any storm that surrounds you today.

Although the storm rains seek to soak your strength and the whistling winds seek to shift your course, remember God’s love. He will never leave you nor forsake you and He is right there with you.

God is guiding you in love and developing you into the dynamic person you were called to be. Have faith that God is coming through and don’t mistake that just because you are going through storms God’s love is absent. No! God is there and those who love him, He is working everything out for their good according to his purpose! God loves you in every season you experience in life, whether it is great or challenging. Remember that God loves you! Don’t forget that he really loves each and every one of his children.

Walk in God’s love today because He always comes through in His love for you!

Pray with me- “God, I thank you for your love, kindness, grace and mercy. Although I experience storms in my life, I thank you that you are there with me. Sometimes it is a challenge to see how everything will work out for my good when I’m going through storms that seek to choke my praise and blind my focus on you. Our Heavenly Father, I praise you for being sovereign and that all my storms are subject to you! Thank you for peace, strength and growth as my faith increases in you. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.

Have a blessed day.

ONLY THEN

“ONLY THEN!”

Joshua 1:8 NLT
“Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. ONLY THEN WILL YOU PROSPER and succeed in all you do.”

God has established loving boundaries for us to follow as it relates to: friendships, business agreements, conversations, marriage, associations, relationships, work, teaching, discipline, when someone does you wrong, your actions, your thoughts and so much more. We as believers are to spend time in God’s word and prayer as the Holy Spirit reveals deep truths to us regarding God’s covering and loving boundaries.

The loving boundaries God has established in your life are not to limit or punish you but to bless and reward you. We are called to listen and obediently pay attention to God’s commands to love him and serve him with all of our heart, soul, choices, thoughts and our whole being. (Deuteronomy 11:13). There is blessing in obedience. When you obey God and respect his love for you, you are really showing and telling God that you love him.

THIS IS THE KEY TO WHAT GOD PROMISES AFTER HE SAYS “ONLY THEN!”

Don’t mistake God’s commandments, boundaries and covering as limitations in your life but receive them as his love for blessing and prospering you. ONLY THEN will you step out of the life of wondering aimlessly in rebellion & see your life change direction towards the PROMISES OF GOD.

God comes through in loving YOU. SO When you obey God and respect his love for you, you are really showing and telling God that you love him.

Pray with me!
God, I ask for forgiveness in classifying your commandments, boundaries and covering as negative limitations in my life. I know now that your love forever encompasses me. Thank you for your commands that are established to protect me when I follow them. I choose to obey you, LORD. In Jesus’ name, AMEN

Have a blessed day!

MY HEART BREAKS

Truth. I have hesitated saying anything at all until now. After watching the whole sad thing play out like a traveling circus.

MY HEART BREAKS.

Was it RACISM?
Yes & no? Maybe more?

7 funerals-
A casket made of Gold-
Broadcast on every major news network-
A MAN whose life was taken SHOWS TRUTH.

But is it ALL RACISM? Or more?

Read it all before hating what is said from a WHITE yet not as white as I may look man.

1st
Was it sad and absolutely murder that we witnessed as an officer pressed his knee into the neck of a man robbing him of his life source against his will? Yes. It is murder and it makes me imagine the little child in the womb @ 26 weeks as they remove each part leaving no possibility of the child to inhale one life sustaining breath. I can hear them both yelling “I CAN’T BREATHE!” They have been robbed of any choice or right to live.

But as this man lay there my heart shattered while I screamed at my television; “GET OFF OF HIM HE ISN’T BREATHING!”

(If we are not as upset with each abortion as we are this man we have a problem)

**WAIT. EVEN IF YOU DISAGREE KEEP READING! DON’T QUIT TRYING TO UNDERSTAND!****

2nd.
Was it racially stimulated? Possibly—- however the broken men ( aka officers) charged with murder (who make up the greatest minority in the work pool of policemen & women across the U.S.A.) would have done the same thing if it was a white man named “Bubba” the redneck WITH HIS TRACK record. Why? Because they already lived outside of any sense of true & healthy boundaries. Just listen to my point 1st….
**These overworked- underpaid- underappreciated police officers (as are most) are the extreme minority that finally quit caring. They should be held accountable!!! YES!!!. BUT DESPITE being under paid- underappreciated and taken for Granted, MOST DO NOT CROSS THIS LINE and they shouldn’t be made to pay for the %1 that fail. SO was it RACISM alone or more? I BELIEVE IT’S FAR MORE.

3rd.
Last! Who am I? Who am I to say anything at all? Glad you asked…
**I am a White man with INDIAN blood flowing through my veins… White as a ghost on the outside but so mixed on the inside it will NEVER REALLY MATTER- BUT I’m a man who has been with a WOMEN WHO IS BROWN and BEAUTIFUL. 27 1/2 years I’ve known Missy Slattery Tyson. Yes my WIFE AND KIDS ARE INTERRACIAL-! beautiful people all with 1st hand experiences of racial profiling and victims of racial hate acts.

My wife is Filipino- Hawaiian- Korean- Portuguese and FULL OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
And we have witnessed the ignorance of men and women in many ways STILL TODAY.
Both of my son’s whose skin is as dark as a black mans have been followed through stores or little shops while in Branson Missouri & in Kansas. Seriously at Wal-Mart- in theaters and the finest restaurants some will speak to me normally and turn to my wife AND SPEAK SLOWER- OR LITERALLY louder as if she not only can’t understand but as if she is also deaf!!
I can’t make this up. But she always carries herself with grace and Christ like love (ALL while STOPPING ME FROM REACTING like an angry jerk) and educates their ignorance with kindness and compassion.

We live in this racial inequality thus giving me all the right in the world to speak about the insanity found in 2020.

7 funerals-
A casket made of Gold-
Broadcast on every major news network-

A violent felon and career criminal received more than a soldier who DIES FOR OUR FREEDOM!!
A soldiers family gets a flag.

SO I AM A BROKEN BALD WHITE MAN who lives in recovery daily aware of how broken this world is. I live to preach of Gods POWERFUL saving grace.
But I also speak truth even when its hard to hear.
THIS IS NO LONGER JUST A RACISM ISSUE.
ITS MUCH MORE.
ITS A SIN PROBLEM.
ITS A GREED PROBLEM.
ITS POLITICAL NO LONGER RELATIONAL PROBLEM.

AND THERE IS ONE SOLUTION…….
THE LOVE AND POWERFUL DELIVERANCE FOUND IN JESUS CHRIST.

We need prayer and repentance once again!

NIGHTMARE

Nightmare.

Today I woke up after the best sleep in months because of a NIGHTMARE.

Brutal and heart wrenching dream that caused me to LITERALLY leap out of the bed.

In that moment I looked to my right and my wife was gone @ 5am…..WHICH in itself is weird.

So immediately I stormed the house to see her and our little doggies safe and cuddled on the couch..
Hugs and kisses later I return to our bedroom upstairs and the Spirit asked me;
“WHAT JUST HAPPENED?
” I Responded; “My wife’s ALIVE!”

He asked again “WHAT JUST HAPPENED?”

I responded “I don’t really want to think about it I’M JUST so glad my wife’s ALIVE!”

THEN THAT SWEET WHISPER of Papa came. Abba Father said:

“Exactly. We don’t worry about what happens in the dark.

You must always see that NO MATTER WHAT LIES COME TO YOUR MIND THAT ARE OUT OF YOUR CONTROL – YOU CONTROL IF IT GETS TO STAY OR GO.

All you see now is SHE IS ALIVE! “

I sat here on the bed in happy tears and thanked him for this beautiful truth and then He said;

“Now remember in your COMEBACK I’m still alive.

Focus on ME LIKE YOUR MOTHER TAUGHT YOU – That’s how she has made it so far.
Focus on ME BECAUSE that’s what I’ve taught your bride. That’s how she’s stayed with you so far.
FOCUS ON ME AND an no dream or fiery dart of your enemies can touch YOUR HEART!”

YEAH. THAT’S HOW INTIMATE GOD IS. IF YOU KNEW HOW MY PAST 2 MONTHS HAVE BEEN YOU WOULD KNOW THIS WAS FROM GOD.

NEVER GIVE UP! Because in the end NO MATTER WHAT WE FACE THAT IS A NIGHTMARE – IF WE FOCUS ON JESUS WE WILL SEE WHAT’S ALIVE – WHAT HE IS DOING IN IT ALL.

MOM & Missy Slattery Tyson
I SURE LOVE AND THANK GOD FOR YOU IN MY LIFE. Thank you for believing in Jesus.

LOVE BEYOND OWNERSHIP

“Love BEYOND ownership!”

Have you ever had CHILDREN choose to leave your life? Choose to disregard EVERY PART OF THE SELFLESS LOVE YOU GAVE THEM after creating them- raising & protecting them???

THIS IS WHAT GOD SHOWED ME TODAY.

“Love BEYOND ownership!”

Some people say it’s “LOVE” but in all honesty their idea of love is ownership!!

This is why I say often; “God will defend your right to CHOOSE hell. Or walk away from real love in your life!

Why?? BECAUSE THAT’S REAL LOVE DEMONSTRATED BY THE FATHER!

WE are all- “Out of all creation His most prized POSSESSIONS.”

James 1:18 NLT
“He (God) chose to give birth to us by giving us his true word. And we, out of all creation, became his prized possession.”

“Ownership” of EVERYTHING created belongs the creator of those things.
BUT IN THE CASE OF ALL HUMANITY LOVE SAYS “I WILL ALLOW YOU TO CHOOSE EVEN IF IT BREAKS MY HEART!

We belong to the One who created us yet HE DOESN’T CONTROL US Like “something” he owns.

He loves us like “SOMEONE” HE CREATED TO NURTURE – PROTECT & GROW INTO HIS FAMILY BY CHOICE or NOT!

SO Some people say it’s “LOVE” but in all honesty their idea of love is ownership!!

God calls it LOVE when we are willing to give up “ownership” of OUR most PRIZED POSSESSIONS even when it’s heartbreaking to watch those creations leave your life!

Great thing to remember HOWEVER is we are ALL THE SONS AND DAUGHTERS WHO GO AWAY……. But God waits with arms wide open for us to come back home!

We don’t have to love our kids choices. BUT WE MUST NEVER STOP LOVING OUR KIDS.

Blessings.

ADDICTION TOUCHES EVERYONE! JESUS SETS THEM FREE!

“Addiction touches everyone! Jesus sets them free!”

“ADDICTION TOUCHES EVERYONE WITHOUT BIAS! Addiction never discriminates. Never!!!!”

From the rich to the poor and the successful to unemployed.
From the child to the parent and the pulpit to the pew.
From the the Gas Station clerk to the police and the doctor to the janitor.
From the White man to the black man and every race walking this planet.
From the one who’s been sober for 5 days to the one who’s been clean 30 years.

“ADDICTION TOUCHES EVERYONE WITHOUT BIAS! Addiction never discriminates. Never!!!!”

Drug addiction- Addiction to alcohol- Pornography addiction- Food addiction- AND MANY MORE addictions have either been our struggle or someone we know. So in some way it has touched the life OF EVERYONE!

Addiction is SO ALL EXCLUSIVE IT often revisits many who begin to FORGET JUST HOW EVIL AND DESTRUCTIVE IT WAS when it touched them or those they love.

“ADDICTION TOUCHES EVERYONE WITHOUT BIAS! Addiction never discriminates. Never!!!!”

Yes. It revisits and reminds us that JUDGING AND HUMILIATING THOSE who are fighting addiction for their very lives, could very well leave the one doing so- face to face with this NON BIAS GIANT asking themselves;

“HOW DID I END UP FACING THIS KILLER ONCE AGAIN?”

“ADDICTION TOUCHES EVERYONE WITHOUT BIAS! Addiction never discriminates. Never!!!!”

This is why the Word warns us:

Galatians 6:1‭-‬3 NLT
“Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should GENTLY and HUMBLY help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to FALL INTO THE SAME temptation yourself. Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. If you think you are too important to help someone, YOU ARE ONLY FOOLING yourself. You are NOT that important.”

THAT’S extremely clear! BUT THERE’S HOPE for those FIGHTING ADDICTION!

THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A WAY OUT FOR THOSE WHO ARE IN THEIR ADDICTION OR FOR THOSE WHO have now seen this killer come back as an unwanted guest.

GODS WORD SAYS GOD “WILL SHOW US THE WAY OUT SO WE CAN ENDURE!”

1 Corinthians 10:12‭-‬13 NLT
“If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, HE WILL SHOW YOU A WAY OUT so that YOU CAN endure.”

“ADDICTION TOUCHES EVERYONE WITHOUT BIAS! Addiction never discriminates. Never!!!! BUT GOD LOVES US ENOUGH TO GIVE US A WAY OUT!”

PLEASE lets never forget how this giant killer named addiction has touched each of us and those we love. This mindset should keep each of us FULLY aware of our pain so we aren’t inflicting more pain of those who are in pain!

God bless everyone of you in the journey. Never forget there is FREEDOM in Jesus Christ even for those who have slipped in the fight! Slip and fall- just don’t stay down.

Love you all.
Pastor Ken Tyson.
